Sharing in Hooftec

Hooftec is built around collaboration. Data stays private by default - you decide exactly what is shared, with whom, and you can revoke any link at any time. Here is every way data can move between users.

Per Customer

Share individual customers, not your whole account

Trimmer → Trimmer

Share a customer with a colleague
  • Share one specific customer using a share code
  • They see your full history for that customer
  • New records on the shared customer sync both ways
  • They can share back so you both see each other's history
  • Billing stays separate - each trimmer invoices the customer for their own work; customer invoices are never shared
  • Revocable at any time

Trimmer → Client

Client has the Hooftec app
  • Client accepts your share code
  • Sees all your trim & scoring records for their farm
  • Alongside their own records
  • Strictly one-way - you never see the client's own data
For Companies

Enterprise

Controller + team of trimmers
  • All clients & operational data shared across the team
  • Separate login for every trimmer
  • Controller invites trimmers from the portal
  • Web portal for company-wide viewing & management

  • Customers tab → open client → Share Herd Report → Copy or Send
  • Share via WhatsApp, Telegram, Email - anything installed
  • Client filters by animal or date range
  • Updates as you sync - no need to resend
  • Read-only; reports & invoices also shareable as PDFs
Trim Requests

Client → Trimmer

Via the hooftec.app website
  • Client submits an animal list using your share code
  • Manual entry or CSV upload - IDs, RFID tags, notes & check-due flags
  • You see the pending request in-app & assign it to a customer
  • Animals join the herd with notes & RFID UIDs
  • Enter an animal number → request notes & history appear
  • Scan an RFID tag → the correct animal ID auto-fills

From the app - Trimmer, Vet or Farmer
  • Export option on reporting screens
  • Filter to exactly the records you need first
  • UNIFORM & Bovisync-compatible CSV formats
