How do I start my free trial?

Visit our registration page and sign up for a free 1-month trial. No credit card required, and you get access to all features immediately.

What happens after my trial ends?

After your 1-month trial, you'll need to subscribe to continue using Hooftec. If you don't subscribe, your data remains safe for 30 days, giving you time to decide or export your information. After the 30-day cooling-off period, your data will be permanently deleted.

Which plan is right for me?

Our plans cover various business scenarios so you don't pay for features you don't need. Choose:

  • Farmer - if you want to view and track trim data for your herd.
  • Veterinarian - for carrying out occassional trimming without needing invoices.
  • Trimmer - for complete business management including invoicing and calendar features.
  • Enterprise - for complete business management with additional enterprise features like data sharing, advanced analytics and access to the cloud portal.

Can I change my subscription plan?

No. You cannot sign up on one plan and change to another later, this is a feature of the application. You can close your account and subscribe to another plan at any time. You may also want to have multiple subscriptions for different plans at the same time.

Can I use Hooftec offline?

Yes! Hooftec works offline for trimming and scoring operations. Log in once when you have internet, then you can work without signal in the field. Data syncs automatically when you're back online. Some features, like historical data reports, will not work 100% offline since the records must be pulled from the cloud.

Do you support Bluetooth RFID readers?

Yes. Hooftec supports compatible Bluetooth RFID readers to help speed up animal identification during trim workflows. We are keeping hardware messaging brand-neutral for now, so if you want to confirm a specific reader, please contact us.

Is my data secure and backed up?

Yes. We use industry-standard encryption and automatic cloud backups. Your personal data belongs to you, and we never share it or sell it to third parties. You can also export your data at any time on supported collections.

How do the calendar appointments work?

The calendar feature lets you schedule and manage appointments with customers. Set and book appointments and get reminders. The dashboard shows your upcoming appointments in the next 7 days.

How do I generate invoices?

With the Trimmer plan, invoices are generated directly from completed trims and scoring sessions. Set your pricing per customer, track costs, and generate professional PDF invoices.

Can I share trim records with customers?

Yes! All subscribers can produce CSV or PDF reports to share. Trimmer plan subscribers can share trim records digitally with other trimmers or their customers. Customers need to be a subscriber of a plan with Hooftec in order to see the shared data in their app.

Do you offer phone support?

We primarily offer email support for fast, detailed assistance. Check our contact page for all support options.
